I was fortunate to be born and raised in an artistic family with a vast knowledge and skills about arts. It was there that I have had the opportunities to see various paintings of my parents and it was then that I became fascinated in aesthetic and arts. For me, drawing feels like writing diary. I want to record all the events, capture beautiful sceneries and people around me. When I was in secondary school, I found out that my grandfather was a famous lacquer artist. Looking at his works, I was mesmerised and attracted to the beauty in every single paintings that he draw and it was this experience that inspired me to choose lacquer art as my major. I see my choice as an opportunity to understand more about my grandfather and the major he chose and from then, I hope to discover myself and create my own style in the art world.
