Trần Vinh, born in 1959, is one of the long-standing and well-established painters of Hai Phong. Tran Vinh's works in different periods are greatly varying in subjects and expression languages but are all recognizable able by his brush style and his choice of using color and lines. In the early 2000's, his favorite subject was young women and flowers in surrealistic combined with romantic styles. In the first half of 2010, Tran Vinh is more interested in social criticism topics with works depict human with mouse's heads. Besides, landscape and still life are the two subjects which he follows and are the least varying throughout his career.
