A lotus landscape is reimagined not through realism, but as a symphony of light and material. White lotus blossoms emerge against a luminous gold surface with subtle red undertones, creating a sense of purity within a vibrant energy field. Layers of lotus leaves overlap rhythmically, suggesting both stillness and movement in time.
The eggshell inlay and gold leaf produce a distinctive inner glow, where light seems to radiate from within the lacquer surface. Vertical divisions structure the composition like a traditional Asian folding screen, introducing a visual rhythm that enhances its decorative and spatial quality.
This work goes beyond depicting lotus flowers—it embodies purity, contemplation, and the spiritual elegance of Asian aesthetics expressed through contemporary lacquer art.
